Explorer Curriculum

At Manor Beach we aim to promote children’s emotional, spiritual, intellectual, physical and social development through offering investigative, creative and inspiring activities.

We are passionate about creating resilient, aspirational and inquisitive lifelong learners. We offer our children the opportunity to foster personal pride in their achievements and provide a purpose and relevance for learning.

Questioning is a key aspect of our curriculum and learning is supported by a literacy rich environment. Woven into our curriculum are opportunities to make links with previous learning and a broad range of activities to enrich our pupil’s experiences.

The outdoor environment and the local community are considered an opportunity for active exploration and learning for all pupils and links to local community groups, businesses and local heritage are continually being forged and nurtured.   With this in mind the school grounds are currently being developed to fulfil our curriculum requirements.

We offer pupils a curriculum that extends beyond the national curriculum and incorporates a wide range of enriching opportunities and experiences both within and beyond the school day. This includes after school clubs where our pupils can develop their skills in sport, maths, art and music and extend their experiences through visits, visitors, virtual workshops, outdoor learning, theme days and weeks e.g. anti- bullying week, World Book Day, Science week, Arts week and others.

Staff at Manor Beach are proud to be part of an inclusive school where all children are supported to achieve their full potential.
