Why us?

We pride ourselves on being an inclusive school within the heart of our community, developing trust, openness and strong links with our families and community

Our parents tell us that their children:

  • enjoy school, what they are taught and their experiences in school
  • are expected to work hard and achieve their best
  • feel safe and well cared for
  • are part of a warm, friendly, nurturing school community
  • are well supported if they have particular additional needs.

They recognise too that the school is very approachable if they have concerns or questions.  In our surveys, many tell us that the ‘teachers are fantastic!’

As a school, we have a vision for each of our children to be the best version of themselves in:

  • what they achieve
  • how they learn on their journey with us – engagement, enthusiasm, resilience, curiosity, questioning, and independence.
  • their aspirations
  • the way they relate with others
  • how they see themselves as part of a community and the values it holds, and
  • how well prepared for the next stage of their education and beyond.

We offer great facilities and outdoor space which are used effectively to offer our children support and to develop and extend their learning.  Forest school and work using the beach as a resource are relatively new and exciting developments.

The curriculum is exciting, and we have done a good deal over past year or so to make enquiry a central part of it, encouraging children to become ‘explorers’ in everything they do.  Of course, the basics of reading, writing and mathematics are a vital and central.  In all we do, we focus on our school mission:

‘Inspiring Minds; Shaping Futures’

We believe firmly that challenging our children, each to their own ability, and engaging them in learning prepares them for their life beyond Manor Beach.  To enhance and stimulate learning we invite into school a range of visitors, such as authors, to share their expertise and enthusiasm with the children …. then, there are learning experiences out of school in the locality and beyond.  The school has a long tradition of, and is very proud of, its involvement in the local community.

We aim to provide children with experiences that they will enjoy, value and treasure … and remember beyond their time in Manor Beach.

Our children and staff are very proud to wear the Manor Beach badge and they work hard to achieve success, both in the classroom and in wider activities.

Take a look at our Facebook pages or our bi-weekly newsletter to get a feel for some of the activities that children engage in.  Better still, why not make an appointment to come into school, have a look around and see what our school looks and feels like.  We hope you will sense that our children and families are at the heart of everything we do.  Hopefully you will see Manor Beach as the right school for your child/children.
